“Liquid Stitch”? … It Actually Works

Hello friends! I thought I’d share this little story with you in case you might find it helpful.

Recently, while I was getting ready for a speaking engagement that evening, I realized that my favorite pink jacket which I usually speak in had a problem. The lining on the inside of the right cuff was frayed, to the point that it was hanging out below the bottom of the cuff. (The left sleeve didn’t have a problem – maybe that’s because I don’t wear my watch on that wrist, so it doesn’t get torn up so much.)

Well, I wasn’t sure what to do about this, so my good friend JoEllen Dunlop took a look and recommended “Liquid Stitch” to put it back together. I was a bit skeptical of the idea, wondering how well some kind of glue could work, but I bought some and put it on when I got home. The directions said to apply with a “wooden stick,” so I carefully dabbed some on with a toothpick. It dried rather quickly, and I was surprised at how well it worked. The lining is now holding together quite well. In the picture you can see the frayed area at the top that I hadn’t fixed yet. The bottom, which was frayed worse than the top still is, has had the Liquid Stitch applied, as you can see. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.
