The Eternal Flames of Olympos National Park in Turkey

There is a place in Turkey where the lights have been on for 2,500 years – at least. It’s a long hike up a hill, and a long hike down again, but the flames are amazing. Natural gas flows out of fissures in this low peak, and it’s a beautiful site (or would that be sight? 😉 ), especially at night.
