Grandchildren and Quilting

Me with Ezekial

Adorable Ezekial

I have told  you about my newest grandson, Ezekiel. Here’s a photo to verify that it’s true what I said about him, “cute as a button.” He is healthy and growing quickly.

Tori loves her new quilt

And I made this quilt for Tori’s birthday. I think it’s a winner with her loveable cats on it. I hope you like it too—my own design mixing nine-patch and four-patch with other geometric designs—all in bright colors.

I’ve just finished reading (for the second time) Chuck Colson’s The Good Life. I highly recommend it. This is just one arresting quote of thousands, “Prison turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me, which is why, on the 60 Minutes program marking the twentieth anniversary of Watergate, I told a startled Mike Wallace, “I thank God for Watergate.” Not only did prison radically transform my view of life, but the experience also gave me the one thing I thought I would never have again—an opportunity to serve others in significant ways. In my case that service has been a ministry to prisoners around the world.”

I hope you too are finding purpose and meaning in your life. The good life is God’s life because of Jesus.
