Grandchild #11 Hannah Lillias Cassise

Dear Friends,

Sharing my joy with you as I announce the arrival of Grandchild #11. Hannah Lillias Cassise came in at 7lbs 15oz on April 21st. She’s already worked her way into my heart as I see her on skype and want to reach through the screen to hold her. You can see that she is adorable and so blessed to come into a nurturing home. I consider every birth a miracle of how God knits us together in our mother’s womb as breathtaking. I know she will flourish in the home of Heidi and Anthony with love and care. Heidi had a c-section and is healing better than last time. Anthony’s parents are visiting and providing lots of support, especially caring for Nathaniel.

Grace
We chose the name Hannah because it means “grace” or “God’s favor”. We  have found Him being so gracious to us in this phase of our lives and wanted her name to show how faithful the Lord has been. Grace is also Heidi’s mother’s name and we wanted to honor her in that way. As we read the story of Hannah in the Scriptures, we see key themes that we want to be true in Hannah’s life as well: a woman of prayer, a woman who has deep trust in the Lord even in hard circumstances, a woman who gives her all for the love of her Lord!

Lillias is her middle name and this comes from a woman named Lillias Trotter who served the Lord faithfully, passionately, and  creatively in harsh conditions for many years. Look her name up and learn about her. You will find her to be an inspiration in your life also!
